About

I have been working in education, training and childcare for the past 20 years. From teaching primary school to high school children, then training tertiary students in early childhood- it has been quite a journey!

As a working mum myself, I know how important it is for families to have peace of mind that their children are in a safe, fun place. My knowledge and experience in childhood education led me to create Albany OSHC, which I now own, manage and work directly with the children.

I was born in Durban, South Africa and emigrated to Australia in 2002. I have 4 children - from ages 6-23 years and they ALL keep me on my toes. I also have a very supportive husband, Grant, who keeps me grounded and helps around OSHC fixing anything that is broken.

I love coming to work every day and value each of my staff who help to make Albany OSHC an awesome place to hang out (well we think it's awesome!).

Philosophy

To make sure every child feels included, important, heard and that they belong. To provide a range of engaging activities and opportunities for children to participate in, build friendships, socialise, learn independence and self-help skills. To create a community where children respect each other and our educators.

About

I am an Assistant Educator.

I was born in the Northern Territory. I am 20 years old. I have completed year 12 in 2017 and have continued to study at South Regional Tafe, Albany expanding my skills in Health, Education, Community Services, Building and Construction and currently studying Cert IV Allied Health.

I have a great love for animals especially my dog Ruby, our family dog Charlie and pet cat Bloss which we have had since I was young.

I enjoy camping, swimming and snorkeling in the ocean, going to the movies, music, catching up with friends and family and being creative with arts and crafts.

I have a genuine love and passion to work with children. I am excited to be in my job supporting, learning and creating with the children and within a safe environment. I also love how the children teach me things and to stay in the moment.

Philosophy

To always practice kindness, compassion and patience with myself and all those who come into my path. To continue to follow my heart and passion in working with all children, to support and encourage them to be their best self. To be my best self and always honest, in my work and with my work colleagues. To never be too serious and enjoy the little things in life and laugh often.
